I headed to Face to Face Noodle House near MRT Xingtian Temple Station for dinner after work. I’ve always enjoyed trying international cuisines, so I was really looking forward to this well-reviewed Malaysian restaurant.
It was packed during Friday dinner hours. After about a 10-minute wait, we were seated. You place your order with the staff first, then go to the counter to pay in cash.
I ordered the char kway teow recommended by many. It had a lovely wok hei, also the flat rice noodles paired with vegetables and other ingredients were very satisfying. My partner ordered the Sarawak laksa. I only had a few bites, but the broth carried seafood and spice notes and was quite flavorful. The assorted fried platter was nicely crisp, though for me it’s not a must-order.
At the moment, this is the first place that comes to mind whenever I’m craving Malaysian food in town.
