餐廳位在地鐵5號線馬場站、馬場洞韓牛市場的末端,穿過市場才能抵達;當日坐在外面的高腳吧台,能看到師傅料理餐點,內側亦有包廂座位供多人聚餐用

全單點的菜單分為各部位的柴燒熟成牛肉、其他鹹食料理、甜點與酒類,我們六人照外場推薦選了兩種濕式熟成牛、一份乾式熟成牛排、五道鹹食,及兩瓶紅酒共享:上餐順序肉、菜交替,應有特別配置,部分餐點替大家分成兩盤方便分食,服務相當到位

當日自己印象深刻的都是濕式熟成牛,柔軟不油膩的hanger(橫隔膜)和油脂豐富的chuck flap tail(翼板)都非常美味,可以依照喜好的口感選擇;其餘料理則較喜歡韃靼韓牛、抱子甘藍,及茄子搭配羊乳酪

菜色種類不算多,特別專精於不同部位的火烤韓牛,推薦給想專心享用牛肉本身的朋友!若希望嘗試更多元的料理方式或套餐,Born and Bred 本店可能更符合期待

During my recent trip to Seoul, I had been dying to try the famous Hanwoo BBQ spot, Born and Bred. Unfortunately, they were fully booked. However, I discovered that their sister brand, Born and Bred Woodfire, still had availability. I immediately secured a table via WhatsApp. This location specializes in various cuts of Hanwoo beef cooked over wood fire.

After booking, I paid the deposit through an online link. Right before our reservation, the restaurant thoughtfully sent a message warning us about potential traffic congestion due to a BTS concert that day, providing helpful directions on how to navigate the crowds.

The restaurant is located at the end of the Majang Meat Market (near Majang Station, Line 5). You actually have to walk through the market to reach it. We were seated at the high-top bar, which gave us a front-row seat to the chefs in action. For larger groups, they also offer private booths in the back.

The à la carte menu is divided into wood-fired aged beef cuts, savory dishes, desserts, and drinks. Following the staff’s recommendations, our group of six shared: Two cuts of wet-aged beef, one dry-aged steak, five savory dishes, and two bottles of red wine.

The courses were thoughtfully paced, alternating between meat and vegetable dishes. They even split several portions into two plates to make sharing easier for our group.

The wet-aged beef was the standout for me. Hanger Steak was incredibly tender and not overly greasy. Chuck Flap Tail was rich, marbled, and bursting with flavor. As for other dishes, the Hanwoo Tartare, Brussels Sprouts, and Eggplant were my personal favorites.

The menu isn’t extensive, as they focus specifically on perfecting different cuts of grilled Hanwoo. I highly recommend this spot for those who truly appreciate the quality of the beef itself! If you are looking for a wider variety of cooking styles or a full tasting menu, the original Born and Bred flagship might be a better fit for your expectations.

Served with feta cheese, nuts, herbs, and soybean paste. A flavor profile I’ve never experienced before, and I really liked it.

Crispy on the outside with a rich, fatty aroma inside. As someone who loves marbled meat, I found this incredibly comforting! (Not recommended if you prefer leaner cuts).

偏瘦但香氣不減
Tender while maintaining that signature “meaty" texture of the diaphragm. Leaner, but packs just as much flavor.
