在九州溫泉勝地由布院，人稱御三家的溫泉旅館分別是「山荘無量塔」、「亀の井別荘」、「由布院 玉の湯」，當中山莊無量塔在來訪前已經久聞大名，這次終於有機會圓夢

根據官網資料，創辦人藤林晃司於1983年以名為「茶寮無量塔」的燒肉店起家，1992年轉型為旅館；現有建物群由古民家移築，以新舊、東西方融合為概念打造而成

旗下相關企業還有當地甜點名店「B-Speak」、蕎麥麵餐廳「Murata 不生庵」、美術館「artegio」、簡餐咖啡館「thé théo」，與巧克力店「théomurata」

從種種細節都能感受到創辦人對創生與品味的堅持，總體來說非常喜歡，特別推薦給欣賞相同美學的朋友！

In Yufuin, one of Kyushu’s most famous hot spring destinations, the three hotels known collectively are “Sansou Murata”, “Kamenoi Besso”, and “Yufuin Tamanoyu.” Among them, Sanso Murata was one I had long heard about, and this time I finally had the chance to make the trip there.

According to the official website, founder Koji Fujibayashi started in 1983 with a yakiniku restaurant, and transformed it into a hotel in 1992. The current complex is built from relocated traditional houses, designed around a concept that blends old and new, as well as Eastern and Western aesthetics.

Its affiliated businesses include the well-known local dessert shop “B-Speak”, the soba restaurant “Murata Fusho-an”, the museum “artegio”, the café “thé théo”, and the chocolate shop “théomurata.”

From many thoughtful details, you can clearly feel the founder’s dedication to craftsmanship and taste. Overall, I liked it very much and especially recommend it to travelers who appreciate a similar aesthetic philosophy.

入住期間正值年末聖誕節旺季，幸好停留期間還有一間空房，在官網訂房後會收到email通知，日期接近時亦有英文來信詢問飲食禁忌，驚訝的是竟然無須訂金，退房再付費即可

Reservation

My stay fell during the busy Christmas and year-end season. Luckily, there was still one room available. After booking through the official website, I received a confirmation email, and as the date approached, they also sent an email in English to ask about any dietary restrictions. Surprisingly, no deposit was required, and payment is made at checkout.

交通

去程：一確定抵達由布院車站的時間，馬上寫信向飯店預約車站至飯店的接駁；到約定地點（由布市遊客中心）後，由一位穿著高雅的老年男性帶我們坐上香檳金的Toyota Alphard前往飯店

回程：入住時才詢問隔天是否可以協助接駁至由布院車站，飯店表示會替我們叫計程車，無另外收費，下車地點也事先跟司機溝通好了

❗️無論自駕或需要飯店接送，都建議儘早向飯店確認

Transportation

Arrival: As soon as I confirmed our arrival time at Yufuin Station, I emailed the hotel to reserve a pickup. After reaching the agreed meeting point (Yufu City Tourist Information Center), an elegantly dressed elderly gentleman escorted us to a champagne-gold Toyota Alphard and drove us to the hotel.

Departure: While check-in, I asked whether they could help arrange a ride to Yufuin Station the next day. The hotel said they would call a taxi for us at no extra charge, and they also communicated the drop-off point to the driver in advance.

❗️Whether you are driving yourself or using hotel transfers, it’s best to confirm arrangements with the hotel as early as possible.

共有12 種房型，每間房有不同的可入住人數（最少2人、最多8人），我們預訂當下只剩「higashi」（東），就直接訂了這個房型

所有房間都自成一棟，我們住的「higashi」面積 32 坪，有一寢室（西式）、一和室（可鋪床作和式寢室）、一客廳、兩廁所，和浴室兼私人湯屋

Room Type

There are 12 room types, each with different occupancy limits (minimum 2 guests, maximum 8). When we booked, only the “higashi” room type was left, so we reserved it directly.

All rooms are standalone buildings. Our “higashi” unit included one Western-style bedroom, one tatami room (which can be prepared with futons as Japanese-style bedroom), a living room, two toilets, and a bathroom with a private hot spring bath.

裝潢以和風為基調，客廳巧妙混搭大量設計師家具（下圖自行嘗試找出款式），尤其雅緻

The interior design is primarily Japanese in style, with a skillful mix of Western designer furniture in the living room that feels especially elegant. 

寢室有兩張單人床，和室則是晚餐期間由房務人員協助在榻榻米上鋪被褥，我睡的和室也許因為屋頂較挑高，自己覺得睡起來較無被空間溫柔包覆的感覺

The Western-style bedroom has two twin beds. During dinner, the staff prepared futons on the tatami in the Japanese-style room. I slept in the tatami room; perhaps because of the higher ceiling, it didn’t feel as cocooned and softly enclosed as the Western bedroom.

湯屋有兩面落地窗，是室內採光最好之處，加上梳洗處明亮美觀、設備齊全，在這裡泡湯、洗浴成爲特別期待的事

The bath area has floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides and is the brightest space in the villa. Combined with the well-equipped and beautifully designed washing area, bathing here became something I particularly looked forward to.

為有更完整的入住體驗，選了附晚餐和早餐的方案，若有任一餐不想在飯店吃，也可以在訂房時選擇；有些房型是房內用餐，我們住的則需走到主建築

Meals

To enjoy a more complete stay experience, we chose the plan that included both dinner and breakfast. If you prefer not to dine at the hotel for either meal, you can select that option when booking. Some room types offer in-room dining; ours required a short walk to the main building.

公共空間

公共空間中，我們實際上使用到的有酒吧「Tan’s Bar」和禮品店「藏拙」

由於抵達飯店時還沒到入住時間，就先到「Tan’s Bar」稍作休息，房客可以免費享用冷熱咖啡、紅茶、蘋果汁和一盤小餅乾，亦能付費加點「B-Speak」的蛋糕卷、乳酪蛋糕及其他酒水；空間有設計感、氛圍靜謐，在這裡吃下午茶非常舒適

Public Spaces

Among the shared areas, we used the bar “Tan’s Bar” and the gift shop “Zo-zetsu.”

Since we arrived before check-in time, we first rested at Tan’s Bar. Guests can enjoy complimentary hot or iced coffee, black tea, apple juice, and a plate of cookies. Additional items such as B-Speak roll cake, cheesecake, and alcoholic drinks are available for purchase. The space is stylish and tranquil, which very comfortable for afternoon tea.

「藏拙」販售山莊無量塔相關商品與其他選品，我自己覺得滿吸引人，尤其大分縣藝術家打造的各式食器和飯店主廚監製的調味料，如果想嘗試「théomurata」的巧克力也能順手選購，考慮許久後帶回與飯店同名的室內香氛噴霧，成分單純，也是喜歡的清爽調性

另外「藏拙」旁邊有個大面落地窗、採光極好的空間，置兩組沙發座位，與可自行拿取的書籍、棋盤、茶包等，和午間暖陽一起窩在沙發裡，再愜意不過

The gift shop sells Sanso Murata original goods and a curated selection of other items. I found many things appealing, especially tableware made by Oita artists and seasonings supervised by the hotel’s head chef. You can also pick up chocolates from théomurata here. I brought home an indoor fragrance spray bearing the hotel’s name, which is simple in ingredients and with a fresh scent profile I really like.

Next to the shop is a bright space with large floor-to-ceiling windows, two sofa seating areas, and freely available books, board games, and tea bags. Relaxing there on the sofa in the warm midday sun couldn’t be more pleasant.

The hotel is designed as an open area where guests can freely stroll around the property.
