台南中西區｜老字號 小吃推薦！永記虱目魚丸

回台南時想起好多年沒吃的永記虱目魚丸，週六一下高鐵就要爸爸載我去吃午餐，自從2021年易主給周氏蝦捲經營、店內裝潢更新後，這還是第一次踏進店裡

等待用餐的人很多，要先拿號碼牌點餐，再等待叫號入座；白色基調的新裝潢明亮而不失小吃店風情，據爸爸指稱店裡的內場和易主前仍是同一批

兩個人點了一些餐點分食，綜合湯有許多古早味的魚漿製品，是店內招牌，不過我更喜歡的是肥肉切得方正、滷汁帶甜的肉燥飯，搭配醬瓜、卵黃紮實的滷鴨蛋和微軟的油條，太治癒人心了！現炸豆皮蝦捲香脆不油也值得試試

When I returned to Tainan, I suddenly remembered Yong Ji Milkfish Balls, a place I hadn’t eaten at in many years. As soon as I got off the high-speed rail on Saturday, I asked my dad to drive me there for lunch. Since the restaurant changed ownership in 2021, this was my first time stepping inside.

There were quite a lot of people waiting. You first place your order, then wait for your number to be called before being seated. The new white-toned décor is bright yet still retains the charm of a traditional local eatery. According to my dad, the kitchen staffs are mainly the same as before the change in ownership.

The two of us ordered several dishes to share. The assorted soup, filled with various old-school fish balls, is one of the house specialties. My personal favorite was the braised pork rice: the fatty pork is cut into cubes, and the broth has a gentle sweetness. Paired with pickled cucumber, braised duck egg with a firm yolk, and slightly softened youtiao, it was incredibly comforting. The freshly fried tofu skin shrimp rolls were also worth trying—crispy and not greasy at all.

A humble little shop that carries the memories of generations of locals, it’s highly recommended for anyone looking to experience classic, old-fashioned Tainan flavors.
